How to identify our Fairtrade flowers and plants:
Each product package bears the Fairtrade Mark with a FLO ID, this is a unique identifier of each Fairtrade flower farm.
Fairtrade certified farms offer a wide range of products and qualities: short and long roses that range from lengths of 40, 50 and 60 cm. In addition, the farms offer a wide range of bud sizes, up to 5.5cm or bigger.
In recent years, the assortment has been expanded to include various other flower types such as, Alstroemeria, Chrysanthemum, (spray) Carnations, Gypsophila, Lilium, and Solidago. When supplemented with a diverse range of 'fillers', it is possible to make a full Fairtrade mixed bouquet. Fairtrade is continuously working on expanding the range of Fairtrade flowers and plants.
Various potted plants are also available as Fairtrade. The young plants come from certified farms in Africa to be made into consumer products in Europe. Poinsettia is the most well-known product but there are more on offer.
