For years, we have offered these florists the opportunity to find, and buy, sustainably certified products through FM Group's webshop. We also think it is a good development that there is a growing group of growers who have embraced the "On the way to PlanetProof" certificate in addition to other important environmental and social certificates.
As a member of FSI (The Floriculture Sustainability Initiative), we hope that the "On the way to PlanetProof" certificate will soon also be included in FSI's Basket of Standards. In the current On the way to PlanetProof Week, which runs from 2 to 8 October, SMK is joining forces with supermarkets, brand manufacturers and other chain parties to draw attention to more sustainable products with the Top Quality mark. FM Group is happy to show our wholehearted support with this message.
During the On the way to PlanetProof Week, supermarkets, quality mark holders, brand manufacturers and other chain parties, with the support of SMK, will launch numerous actions to make consumers aware of more sustainable choices in the supermarket.
On the way to PlanetProof is a strong label that takes into account the importance of preserving our planet. It was developed and is managed by SMK, an independent, knowledgeable and reliable partner in sustainability on a non-profit basis. The stakeholders involved decide jointly on sustainability and tightening of requirements, highlighting SMK's unique feature.
As FM Group, we are proud of our own sustainable strategy and are therefore happy to support initiatives such as On the way to PlanetProof, which, like us, are committed to transparency and sustainability in various sectors and, of course, our beautiful floriculture sector.
